MHFA Training UK is not a large training company with multiple instructors and sales teams behind the scenes. It is simply one person — me, Andy Graham, delivering high-quality Mental Health First Aid training courses with genuine passion, experience, and understanding.
As an approved Mental Health First Aid instructor with MHFA England since 2015, I have successfully trained and supported more than 2,000 Mental Health First Aiders across a diverse range of organisations within the private, public, and education sectors over the past 11 years.
Mental health is not just a profession to me; it is deeply personal. I understand what it feels like to struggle with your mental health while not knowing who you can safely turn to for support. Living with Complex PTSD and Depression since 1988 as a result of my previous career in the Fire Service, I am also a suicide survivor.
These lived experiences are a significant part of why I became so passionate about delivering Mental Health First Aid training courses. My aim has always been simple: to help create workplaces, communities, and organisations where people feel more confident to support one another and where nobody feels they have to struggle alone.
While MHFA England provides the excellent framework and accreditation behind the courses, what I bring is something much more personal—honesty, empathy, real-world experience, and ongoing support long after the training has finished.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with organisations of all sizes, helping thousands of people gain the confidence to start supportive conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
For me, this work has never simply been about delivering a course; it has always been about helping people feel heard, understood, and supported.
At MHFA Training UK, I offer a comprehensive suite of accredited Mental Health First Aid training courses recognized by MHFA England. These courses are designed to empower organisations to foster confidence, understanding, and supportive workplace cultures surrounding mental health.
All training is personally delivered by me, Andy Graham, combining the accredited MHFA England content with real-world experience, empathy, and ongoing support.

To ensure delegates experience a high level of interaction, support, and pastoral care:
- All 1-Day and 2-Day courses are conducted face-to-face.
- Half-day courses can be offered in person or online via video conferencing.
This approach allows me to foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment, encouraging delegates to comfortably discuss sensitive and emotional topics.
**MHFA Consultation & Ongoing Support:**
Mental Health First Aid training is most effective when it is integrated as part of a broader commitment to workplace wellbeing.
In addition to training delivery, I provide consultation services to assist organisations in effectively incorporating MHFA into their:
- Policies
- Procedures
- Workplace culture
- Wellbeing strategies
Crucially, my support extends beyond the conclusion of the courses. I continue to offer ongoing support to the Mental Health First Aiders trained by me, delivering guidance and reassurance when they need it most in their essential roles within their organisations and communities.

In today’s world, many mental health campaigns focus on one simple message: “It’s good to talk. And it is. But talking is only beneficial when we know someone is truly there to listen without judgement, without interruption, and without trying to fix everything. That’s where our mission begins.
A Different Approach:
“On A Mission To Listen” is about shifting the focus. Instead of only encouraging people to speak up, we are encouraging more individuals to step forward and say:
👉 “I’m here. I will listen.”
Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer someone isn’t advice… It’s our time, our presence, and our willingness to hear them.
You Are Not Alone:
When we are struggling with our mental health, it’s easy to feel isolated. It can seem like nobody understands… or that nobody is around. But the truth is:
You are not alone. There are individuals around you, in your workplace, your community, your friendships who care more than you might realize. Sometimes we just need to look a little closer or take a small step toward them.
This Is About All of Us:
Mental health does not discriminate. We all experience challenges from time to time, regardless of our background, our role, or how things may appear on the outside. This campaign is about creating a culture where:
More people feel confident to listen. More people feel safe to speak. And fewer people feel like they have to struggle on their own.
Wear the Message. Start the Conversation.
Our clothing is more than just a design; it’s a statement, a signal, a quiet way of saying:
👉 “I’m on a mission to listen.” 👉 “You are not alone.”
To further empower this message, we offer Mental Health First Aid (MHFA England accredited) training courses designed to equip more listeners in our communities. Explore the Collection at our "Happy To Listen Store".
