Hello, I’m Andy Graham, founder and lead trainer at MHFA Training UK.
For me, mental health isn’t just a professional focus, it’s personal. Having lived with mental health challenges myself in the form of PTSD and depression, I understand how difficult it can be to ask for help and how powerful it can be when someone truly listens and offers the right support.
That’s why I’m so passionate about Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training. I’ve seen first-hand how it can change lives by giving people the skills, confidence, and understanding to support others when they’re struggling.
My journey into this field began not in a classroom, but through lived experience. Over time, I realised that many workplaces and communities lacked the confidence to talk about mental health and I wanted to help change that.
MHFA Training UK was created to make high-quality, accredited training accessible to everyone, from large organisations to individuals who simply want to make a difference. Each course I deliver combines evidence-based learning with empathy and real-world understanding.
Every course I run is part of something bigger: a growing network of people who genuinely care about mental wellbeing. I offer ongoing support to everyone I train because learning to support others is a journey, not a one-time event.
Whether I’m delivering training online or in person, my goal is always the same, to create safe, engaging, and inclusive spaces where people can learn, connect, and grow.
I may run a business, but MHFA Training UK isn’t a faceless company, it’s a human mission. Behind the name, it’s just me: someone who believes in kindness, community, and the power of listening.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and why I do what I do.
